Volodymyr Ischenko Volodymyr Seraphymovych Ischenko was born September 17, 1936 in Novyi Bug, Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine. In 1963 V. Ischenko graduated from Kharkiv Juridical Institute. In 1963-1965 worked as a Judge in People's Court of Lenin’s District, Luhansk. Since 1965 till 1974 – head of the court. In 1974-1985 – vice-chairman of the Head of Chernivtsi Regional Court, 1985-1995 – head of Ternopil Regional Court, in 1995-2001 – head of Chernivtsi Regional Court, in 2001 – head of Chernivtsi Court of Appeal. Since 1996, he had been working at the department on a position of the assistant professor, taught the following disciplines: «Court Ethics» «Examining of criminal cases in the Appeal and Cassational Order» «Sentencing» «Advocation and reasons for cancellation or changing of court decisions» «Reasons for changing or cancellation of verdicts». According to the decree of presidium of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from March 2, 1992 he worked in the commission of conducting court and legal reform in Ukraine, in which he actively participated. Honoured lawyer of Ukraine. Frequently took part in the delegation of Ukrainian judges specializing in international relations concerning experience exchange in legal issues of different countries, was elected as a delegate of Ukrainian lawyers congress, deputy of district and regional Soviet of elected representatives of the people. Encouraged by diploma of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Supreme Court of Ukraine, Judge Council of Ukraine, Chernivtsi Regional Council and Regional State Administration. War veteran, recipient of an award «For heroic work», insignia «For service» ІІІ degree. Volodymyr Seraphymovych Ischenko died August 13, 2005.
