Franz Exner

Franz Exner was born in 1881, Vienna. As his father Franz Exner studied law.
After his studying in Vienna and Heidelberg he defended a thesis in 1905 in Vienna and in 1910 obtained PhD (Law).
Since 1912 till 1916 Franz Exner worked as a professor at the Faculty of Law in Chernivtsi. In 1916 Exner was sent on a mission as an ordinary professor to Paris University, later – Tuebingen. Since 1921 Exner worked at the University of Leipzig, and since 1933 – in Munich.
In 1934 Exner had a trip to the United States of America. Till 1944 Exner cooperating with the lawyer Rudolf Sieverts, mathematicians Guns Reiter and Guns Burger-Prince published «Monthly Journal of Criminal Biology and Criminal-Legal Reform». Franz Exner took active part in Nuremberg Process as a defender of the general Alfred Yodle, general staff and General Headquarters. Died Franz Exner in 1947.
